Aquatic plants
Aquatic plants, also known as hydrophytes or water plants, are plants that have adapted to live in or around water environments. These plants can be fully submerged, floating on the surface, or rooted in soil with leaves and flowers above water. Common examples include water lilies, lotus, duckweed, and hydrilla. They play a crucial role in maintaining the health of aquatic ecosystems by providing oxygen, offering habitat and food for aquatic animals, and helping to control algae growth by absorbing excess nutrients. Aquatic plants are not only vital for biodiversity but also add beauty and balance to ponds, lakes, and water gardens. currently 10 species are available and will be adding more .
